When and where do you shoot family and maternity sessions?

I shoot these sessions outside at golden hour - the hour or so before sunset, or very early in the morning. I have a variety of beautiful locations that I can recommend or I’m very happy to work with you at your own special spot.

What do I need to have ready for my newborn session?

Just your baby and space near a lovely bright window! I bring absolutely everything needed for newborn sessions. I have a journal article all about newborn sessions for further information - Newborn Sessions at Home

Are you vaccinated?

I am fully vaccinated for everything! This includes recent pertussis/whooping cough vaccinations, influenza and Covid 19 vaccinations.

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! I am happy to break your session fee down into several payments and any additional images can be selected and paid for following your sessions.

How about timing and locations of newborn shoots?

I am happy to shoot newborns in the week or two after birth but there is really no bad time! If you feel that youd rather recover for a few weeks before planning your session that is 100% fine! When you book your session we will pencil in a tentative date but this is flexible depending on when your baby arrives.

I have two options for newborn sessions: Either in your home, generally in the morning or early afternoon. The focus here is more on your baby with naturally posed individual shots. Parents and siblings are included.

The second option is an outdoor session at sunset. The emphasis here is more on the family connection to your new baby although individual details will still be captured.

Do you use props?

I do not use any props, just a simple beanbag to safely hold your baby and a variety of beautiful and simple backdrops and wraps.

Do you have insurance and safety training?

My business carries comprehensive public liability insurance to cover any eventuality. And as a trained, registered and practicing midwife I am uniquely placed to safely handle your baby.

Do you travel for shoots?

I do! While I am slightly limited by my family commitments (aka 3 tiny terrorists), please do reach out with your requirements and I will try my very best to accomodate you.
